How it Works

GeoEDGE developed a tailored Vehicle Management System for the World Bank to streamline vehicle usage, enhance trip scheduling, and improve overall operational efficiency. The system supports scheduling and assignment of drivers, trip routing, real-time vehicle tracking, and management of pickup/drop mileage, fuel consumption, and trip costs. 

It also includes tools for managing vehicle and driver profiles, staff trip requests, and comprehensive reporting. Designed with scalability and user experience in mind, WBVMS brings automation and visibility to the Bank’s transportation operations.

Process & Results

We started by gathering operational requirements from the World Bank’s transport coordination teams to map their vehicle workflow. Our team designed and implemented a secure web-based platform featuring role-based access, interactive dashboards, and real-time GPS tracking. Key modules covered staff request approvals, driver assignment, automated trip cost calculations, and vehicle health monitoring. 

The reporting suite allowed for oversight of usage trends, cost efficiency, and compliance. As a result, WBVMS significantly reduced manual coordination, improved fleet utilization, and empowered data-driven decision-making across the organization’s transportation unit.
